I am interested in programming databases in Palm OS.
I found that PDB uses low-level abstraction commands
(chunks of memory, etc.). I am sure this must be very
efficient and fast, but I am more focused in productivity.

Do you know libraries for using SQL-type or Clipper-type
commands for PDB ?

Thank you!

Look at the Pocket Toolbox Library <> for an interface from PocketC to two different database programs for the Palm OS. HanDBase is commercial while Pilot-DB is open source. Pilot-DB is strictly a flat-file database while HanDBase has some relational capabilities. Neither are SQL-type or Clipper-type, but both are useful. I use HanDBase and PocketC for a simple medical billing system with several databases in HanDBase and a report writer in PocketC that prints the forms needed.
