Architect, info DB access

Discuss topics that apply across the products, such as the PocketC language, or development in general

I am trying to move App I rote in NSBasic to C Architect. Unable to find good documentation or examples on searching, reading, writing, replacing and deleting to DB in architect. Familiar with PocketC.
?1 Are there indexed database functions in Architect.
?2 Since it is easy to write string binary search should I just do it and not waist my time.
?3 Should I stick to Pocket C implementation or do I gain by using architect for DB access.

Thnks,Dr. Joe.

1. Not in the sense of a traditional SQL index.
2. Binary search is pretty easy. Do you mean to use this rather than a database index?
3. Architect-style database usage is faster/more efficient than traditional PocketC access methods. The API also allows more flexibility, such as allowing multiple records to be open at a time.

Thks. Missed this point. Which db function allows string query of the indexed db?

The Palm OS doesn't directly support indexed DBs. Thus, there is no string query function.
