CLIE hi-res support

A PocketC native palm library offering native forms and assorted utilities

Will there be 320x320 screen resolution for the sony CLIE's in the next release? There is a huge demand from CLIE owners like myself for hires games.

It may be tricky I suppose because the mediaQ graphics accelerator chip in the sony should be made use of to get good frame rates -- once used apps running at 320x320 can be faster than games on normal palms running at 160x160! E.g. atomsmash 2.0 runs at 60fps on clie at 320x320 but at 50 fps on m505. See http://www.mediaq.com/news/body2.11_DS.pdf

there are also special palm os calls which replace the regular low-res ones, which have hr (for hi-res) as a prefix to them.

Cheers,

Gary

No. Do a search on the forum for the key words "high-res screens". In the posting I explain how much a pain it is to do and the limitations it places on you.
