PopList requires two taps to select

A PocketC native palm library offering native forms and assorted utilities

Using the Fctl command POPLIST, I have to tap a list item twice to get the list to collapse and program execution to continue. Couldn't find anything in the documentation (caveats, etc.) Otherwise it works fine, returning the expected index value, etc.

I have a trigger control in a resource file (#400), and create the list itself (#410) dynamically as follows:

FsetList(410,-1,numsrcs,&source);//pointer is to array of strings

e = Fevent(1);
if(e==400) i=Fctl(POPLIST,410);

I've also tried it with a default item in the list selected, and it still takes two taps on that item to work.

Same behavior on a Vx as on a Handera.

Don't call POPLIST on lists which have been bound to triggers. The OS will pop these list automatically for you when you hit the trigger. Then just use FgetState to get the list state.

POPLIST should only be used on lists which are not bound to triggers and are not stand-alone.

Sorry, but this was a real "list" epiphany for me! That final step of getting the list item with FgetState was just not coming to me.

As usual, thanks for the all the patient replies.
