Making calls to PToolbox from HandBase 3.0

A PocketC native palm library offering native forms and assorted utilities

Postby SeanAtkisson on Mon Jul 29, 2002 3:39 am

Hi!

Excuse my stuttering and probable incorrect usage of terms, but am a neophyte programmer and am interested in using Ptoolbox and PocketC. I read a recent post that said that a version of Ptoolbox will soon be out that will allow Ptoolbox programs to access HanDBase 3.0 db's. That's great! But in the 3.0 version of HanDBase, there is also provisions to "hook into" outside programs written in C and use them. Will the new version of Ptoolbox support this? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sean

HanBase v3.0 plug-in extensions cannot be made into or utilized by palm native libraries, nor can a plug-in be written in PocketC (PocketC apps cannot intercept launch codes). So there is really no way to take advantage of this new HanDBase plug-in mechanism.
