global arrays

A PocketC native palm library offering native forms and assorted utilities

I am trying to do use a global array, since i need it across multiple functions and forms. When i try to compile:
pointer roster;
roster = Array("siiis,18,5");
I get an error on the Array line. If i move it inside main() then it compiles fine.
Is this possible? If not what would be the easiest thing to share it without going into pointers and calling it out from function calls.
thx. If someone has some short examples that would be great.

As in C/C++, function calls can only be made in either main or within another function. As you did, just put the Array call early in main().
