Joe,
I was working with a program that had used a function called serIR(). Upon a search of here and your docs I found it was removed at ver 7.5. Is this because of the newer PocketC seropenx()? My PDE v6.0 still puts serIR() in boldface though. I will send an email to Jeremy to ask about that (unless you have an answer). Perhaps I should also ask if the library functions could be bold in a different color.

The function is still listed in the .lib file, that's why is shows up. If you open the .lib file with a text editor you'll see this.

I pulled the serIR() function because there were serial ir bugs/issues which I could not debug because I didn't have access to the PocketC source code. So Jeremy took up the torch.

Joe,
I commented it out in the .lib file and reloaded it into PDE. Now it will not boldface anymore. That will not cause me any problems will it?

Don't comment it out. It will screw up the function order of things and result in your apps crashing.

Instead replace the function name with another name you would never use.

You probably have to reload it in with PDE to get the highlighting to work again (there's a menu option for that).

Nothing crashed (but that sure doesn't mean it won't ;)), when I did it but I will just name it something foolish. Thanks for the info Joe. I had a feeling that it might mess something up as you have stated. I figured there was a good reason for it still being there. You are correct about removing and reloading from the menu and dialog box. PDE seems to keep it until you make the changes. Odd thing, the highlighting will stay until you put your cursor on the function. Not your hassle though. I do hope Jeremy could make the highlight a different color for the native library as opposed to the built in funtions. Be well and thanks again for the info.
