Use OrbForms compiler a *.prc,
possible *.prc decompiler to source code?

Although it may be technically possible to decompile to some form of source code, this would not be very useful since the source code would have no meaningful variable names. However, since the encoding of instruction in the OrbForms .prc is not documented, it would be much easier for someone to decompile an app built with GCC/CodeWarrior than built with OrbForms.

Although de-compiling to high level source code is extremely difficult you my easily de-compile to ASM code. I personally prefer palmdeMON for this. It seams to work well (and its free).
It does not work 100% but it can help undermine application security (good for analyzing algorithms etc.).

Of course, this won't work to decompile OrbForms apps, since they are not compiled all the way to native code.

Actually in my experience it is much easier to reverse engineer a program written for a virtual machine provided you first understand the virtual machine.
It takes me about a week to make a small change to a normal palmOS application. I haven?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t tried to decompile/reverse engineer OrbForms but I figure it could be done under a month. Once you understand the byte code comprehending code written for a Virtual Machine is very easy (I have done this with Java).
As it appears to me OrbForms does not make true Java like byte code, rather it makes a true executable (.prc) that then loads the OrbForms runtime. After that the code in the OrbForms runtime uses byte code from the .prc resource to tell it what to do. Is this correct? Or is it possible that rather then using true byte code in the resource OrbForms runtime makes use of code resources in the OrbForm non-standalone application? The stand alow application is most likely just a applet that includes the runtime as a second code resource. In this way it can look like a normal .prc.
By the way, can anyone give me any information on why my native add-in wont work? It looks like it should to me.
