T5 Screen

I'm a litte confused about the support for the high-density screen on the T5.

I'd like my forms to resize when the graffiti area is expanded and contracted.

In my tests, just making the form resizable doesn't do it - my form just stays the same size. Do I have to handle the graffiti events?

(Replying to my own post)..

Also, the forms don't handle the switch to landscape mode..the screen just goes blank.

As far as the T5 not resizing automatically when the graffiti area is hidden and shown may be in relation to the same situation as the T3 which requires the dynamic input area APIs. OrbForms comes with the libraries which can be located in the installation directory. Try testing it with this and see if it resolves that problem.

Hmm.. I think those libs are only for the T3.

They crash the T5 if installed.

I got resize to work on a LifeDrive.

In one case I had to issue a load of the form in the resize event handler, not sure why but it wouldn't recognize the new screen dimensions unless I reloaded the form. This project was a graphic game with no screen controls.

In another project I didn't even need to have a resize handler because the OS handled placing or stretching the controls. Did you specify any resize parameters for any of the screen controls? Maybe making sure you do will help kick in a screen redraw.

Not sure any of that was helpful,

Nope, that didn't work.

I tried adding a handler for onResize and issuing the load and also tried issuing a redraw.

All the controls have attachTop and AttachLeft as appropriate, and the form is set resizable.

You didnt forget to set "stretch" for X/Y in the form parameters in addition to setting "resizable" to true, do you? :-}

I hadn't set stretch, but it doesn't help.

Withthe form set to 16x160, my lowest control (a button) appears in the middle of the screen and doesn't move when the graffiti area is expanded or contracted.

You have to set "stretch" in the form itself, and for your button, set "attach bottom" as YResize to have it move down when the DIA disappears. Do so for every control that has to be moved/resized.
