Is there a way to check if MathLib is present so the app can notify the user before trying to use any of the MathLib functions, and exit gracefully?

i dont remeber if orbforms(or PCA) have a func to check but you can always do a dbopen(or orbC eqivilent) and try and open it.

Thanks, it worked. The actual code I used was:

Database CheckForMathlib;

handler QCalc.onstart() {
// Is mathlib present?
if (CheckForMathlib.open("MathLib",0)==0) {
alert("You need MathLib installed!");
}
else
mainForm.load();
}

Although this captures whether MathLib is available or not, it still does not exit the application gracefully. A blank screen appears after the message "MathLib is needed" and the OK button is tapped, and it doesn't go away until the home icon is tapped.

Is there an exit function or system or event message that can be sent after the message is dismissed?

Call app.abort().
