I also post this on PocketC forum...

I have an app that calculates float numbers one way on the POSE (running OS 4.x M505) and calculates another way on my Tungsten|E. The numbers are way different between the two. I made sure that both environments have the same version of Mathlib.

My app calulates the amount of time it will take to travel certain distances at an average MPH, Light Speed, Sound Speed or 1 Mile Per Second. The app returns results in Years, Months, Days, Hours, Minutes and Seconds.

On POSE, I enter 1000000000 Miles To Travel and get the following results:

Light Speed...
Years: 0 Months: 7 Days: 10 Hours: 14 Minutes: 40 Seconds: 42

Sound Speed...
Years: 175 Months: 7 Days: 14 Hours: 10 Minutes: 41 Seconds: 39

1 Mile Per Second...
Years: 31 Months: 8 Days: 15 Hours: 12 Minutes: 35 Seconds: 8

On Palm Tungsten|E device, I enter 1000000000 Miles To Travel and get the following results:

Light Speed...
Years: 0 Months: 7 Days: 10 Hours: 14 Minutes: 40 Seconds: 42

Sound Speed...
Years: 4 Months: 0 Days: 7 Hours: 12 Minutes: 24 Seconds: 11

1 Mile Per Second...
Years: 2 Months: 3 Days: 15 Hours: 4 Minutes: 41 Seconds: 39

Does anyone have any ideas why this app would produce different results? The code is exactly the same. I am running the .prc in both places.

It must have been my algorithm. I changed some things and now it works in both environments.
