So this is it! The PCA compiler for PalmOS has a limit and I can't finish my app on the pda![:0]
Well,I hope my app isn't to big to run on the device!
It compiled in PCA Desktop and seems to work on the palmdevice.

I have 9.5 mb on the device left(Treo 600)
This is what happened when the myform2.close didn't erase the uilist control so I have to erase the uilist with a lot of refreshcode!:x

See my topic about uilist.

Unfortunately, the 9.5MB of free space on your device isn't helpful. An application like PCA can only used a certain part of the memory (dynamic RAM), the rest is reserved for storage. The 9.5MB you mention is the memory reserved for storage.

I am surprised that you hit this on a newer device. PCA does a lot of tricks to avoid using dynamic memory - writing temporary data out to a database wherever possible. You must have a lot of code :)

Hi Dewey.Yes it's a lot of code.
1 ocp and 6 oc are in the project.
It's an update to my soccerapp "SuperTX" for reduced UR-systems ,that
I wrote with PocketC and Ceditor ,a couple of years ago.

It's still things missing in my app, that I have left to code.

The app works great now ,with my refreshcode that erase the uilist.
Sorry thow, to not be able to work from my bed/bath , with my Treo, on this app, anymore.

I really love 8) to code with PCA on my Treo600.

Do You think a Palm TX would solve the memoryproblem?

A TX may solve the memory problem, but I'm not sure. Sources on the web put the dynamic RAM of your Treo 600 between 2MB and 4MB. This site says that the TX has 6MB of dynamic RAM. However, the table is not reliable. For example, I have a T|C and know from experience that it has 12MB of dynamic RAM.

I would also suggest trying one of the tools mentioned on that site to expand the amount of available dynamic RAM.

Dynamic heap memory on my Treo600 is only 2550 kb(max)
so were did they get the info 4mb! ;)
I've started to see, if I can optimize my code more, but the memorytrouble is still there. :x
I see that it takes minimum 90sec ,to try to compile my app on the Treo600.

Thanks for the link.I will take a look on UDMH. [:p]
Seeing forward to the next update of PCA. :D

Question? Can I reduce my app(kb) by deleting spaces in my code?
I had an old Basiccompiler(1994), there this was necessary!

Hi Jeremy.I tested UDMH to increase more Dynamic heap memory.
The compiler read that I had before UDMH,2550 kb memory available and then I increased it to 5mb with UDMH but,
the Compiler out of memory is still there! :(

I solve this problem by exluding the oc's I didn't worked with, for the moment.
ex: app.ocp main.ocp and my nowworkingwith.oc
then the heap memory was enough.
