I have an app that creates a database something like this:
Database Joe Shmoe
record 0: Name,address,etc.
record 1: data from month 1
record 2: date from month 2

I just got through adding the ability to go back and edit record 0(ie the name and address) but realized that rewriting the data will only add a NEW record at the end of the database. My program looks at record 0 for the persons info, so it needs to be there. According to the docs it seems I need to use DBWRITEX instead of DBWRITE in order to put it back at the 0 position.

However I have no idea how to do that as I dont know much about pointers. Is there someone here who can explain how to do this?

I discovered this problem, too. But it seems to work if you do this:

dbwrite("Name, Address, Etc.");

Of course, you'll have to change it for your program, but that's the bare bones. I find pointers confusing, too. :)
