Version 6.00 of the Pocket Toolbox Library is out! It is a big release with many new features.

Here's what's new:
<ul><li>Note() - an text editing/viewing function (breaks 4k memo edit limit!)</li>
<li>Fast record sorting (with alpha-numeric, natural, caseless, and reverse options). See Note() function</li>
<li>Fast record string searches. See Note() function</li>
<li>GetURL() - a function for downloading web content (requires INet Library)</li>
<li>Two new color depths: 4 & 16. (4 bit color is as fast as 4 bit grayscale!)</li>
<li>lines() function now has polygon fill options</li>
<li>Variable line width control for: line(), lines(), frame2(), plot(), & ellipse()</li>
<li>SetPalette() can now adjust color palettes</li>
<li>frame2() now has shadow effects</li>
<li>Array() now defaults strings to ""</li>

The GetURL() function is still in the beta phase, so I'm interested in getting some feedback on it. There is a sample GetURL program in the documentation.

You can get the library here:

Many thanks to Dian Suharto Iskandar and Keith Leinenbach for thier suggestions and beta test work.

Hello Joe, thank you for the update, nice additions. In you documentation you allude to the the fact that PocketC can complile memos >4k, but I am not sure how to go about this. Also, can you use pEdit for writing source and compile these in pocketC??

Thank you for your help

Memos created with the "Memo Pad" app are put into a database called "MemoDB". Each memo is a different record. You can actually use the standard pocketC database routines to access these memo pad records. (For that matter, the To Do List, Date Book, Address apps also each have thier own databases which can be accessed in this manner.)

With regards to the Note function, suppose you have pocketC memo file titled "//work". All you have to do it the following:

In the above example, the sort-on-exit flag is set in case you change the file's name. Otherwise, when you pull up the Memo Pad app, you may find that your files are not sorted correctly.
