Why is it so slow running PocketC compiled programs under PalmOS5? (Tungsten T)

PocketC, like virtually all other PalmOS applications (some of armlets), is still an 68000 code (not ARM) based. PalmOS5 has to emulate the 68000 code to make it run properly on ARM devices. There is a significant overhead associated with this emulation. For the slower OS5 devices, you may only see a x2 speed improvement or so over the older dragonball processor based PDAs.
