IS there any way to put a full screen background image behind a running pocketc application, with out creating a 160x160 colour bitmap.

If not is there any utility to convert a image to a colour bitmap

Thanks in advance for the help

If I understand you correctly you want to achieve the same kind of look found on say Windows desktop. Thinking about it (and with only limited knowledge) it should be possible for you to achieve something like it, but I think you would have to re-paste your chosen background everytime you change forms as the objects you paste on top would more than likely destroy it. Not only that, you'd probably have to use graphical buttons as the background would probably show through non-graphical ones - although I don't know if the same would be true for lists etc. I've only ever used white backgrounds with form objects or only included the background in the form of a border with object/buttons etc on top.

Any graphics package should be able to convert an image (say a .gif, .jpeg etc) to a .bmp. There is usually an file conversion tool where you speficy both the input and the output file extensions and the output location. The other way to do it is to use 'save as' or 'save copy as' and change the extension of the copy to .bmp.

Hope that helps,
