All I wanted was to make a simple menu. Following Andy Harris' book I loaded up Ccontrols but found I couldnt compile anything. I kept getting spurious errors in code that was not menu related such as 'string too long' - for a string that wasnt long at all.

So I went back to Ptoolbox and after struggling thru the help/tutorial decided it would be quicker to load up the button_demo source and take it from there. Alas ths doenst compile either because of unqualifed identifiers so now Im a bit stuck.

Can anyone point me to an easy PocketC desktop-proof way of writing menus?

As far as I can tell, the reason you can't get the 'button demo' to compile is because you are using the wrong copy/version of Fctl.h. The one in the sample programs folder is 1.93 kb in size and when I checked, it didn't contain the required Fctl commands for the demo. Try copying the demo file and navigating to the main PToolbox folder, which contains Ptoolbox and a copy of Fctl.h which is 3.58 kb in size. Complile from here, and hotsync as normal. It should work.
