for some reason, every time I run the Palm Smulator it restarts with making me select the language, tapping the targets on the screen and offering to run the demo. I know that in a Cobalt version you can add "FASTBOOT=1" to the init file, but this does not work on mine (I am running the Treo600 CDMA). I also have heard about using the "PreferredLocale=enUS" in the ini file, but it doesn't change anything. Basically this means that I have to go through the entire setup process everytime I want to test out a program.

If anyone knows how to bypass the setup process or save a state after the setup stuff has been entered, it would be greatly appreciated. This has been driving me nuts.

Try this:
right click the mouse over the PalmSim Window
then click "Storage" and
"Load" or "Save" a session.
Use "Save" before leave the Simulator
And use "Load" when you begin the session.
Hope it help,

I tried using 'Save' from the Storage menu, but when I re-run the simulator and then 'Load' back in the saved file, it shows me the Palm logo, and then turns white and does nothing. At this point it is unresponsive. Please Help This is driving me nuts!

If you don't strictly need the Treo simulator, the generic OS 5.4 from PalmSource skips setup/calibration by default.

Usually there is a text file (palmsim.ini)in the simulator directory,
you can put the file path of your last stored settings in the line

it will make the job.

there is also a lot off settings you can play with... your own risk :)

good luke,
