Discuss PocketC for Palm OS (including Desktop Edition)

I used to use Pocket C extensively many years ago. I've been away for an awful long time but I am eager to get back into it! I have a few ideas for programs and I'm just strating to write them again.

My question: Since I've been gone what have been the developments that I may have missed? I used to use ptoolboxlib and have just downloaded v7.6.1. is this the latest? Are there any more resources I ought to be awrae of?

I know it's a pretty vague question......

FWIW, my prime palm is a clie TH55.

I am in the same boat. I had PocketC 3-4 years ago and now am back. I used it a lot. I see there's still no bluetooth support. This forum used to have loads more people in it too. anybody still use this?

I'm back also and there is a lot of new funtionality...
seropenx(int port, int baud) - open the serial/IR port using the new serial manager. Returns 0 for success. Requires OS 3.3 or higher.
Available port numbers are:
0x8000 - cradle port.
0x8001 - raw IR port (works on devices not based on OMAP processor). 0x6972636D - IrComm (works on most newer devices).
0x7266636D - RfComm (bluetooth).
I tried all except RfComm, good luck...

Well, I guess that is cool if you have a device that still uses serial...My Vx battery died long ago and I couldn't ever get the case apart to install a new battery, plus what's the point now that I have a lifedrive? I will still use PocketC to play around with, because it's a simple pleasure I enjoy. You can't beat its price to functionality ratio, but it looks like it's lagging behind the PalmOS itself...I mean, there's no support to pop down the virtual grafitti area, no bluetooth support...I'd gladly pay an extra $10 to have that, then I could have some real fun! I dunno, It seems to me it's dying on the PalmOS

Holy crap man, I was half asleep reading your post! Bluetooth on that serial command!? How come that isn't an advertised feature? That is a big selling point and I missed it even after spending an hour or two looking through all the new pocketC stuff. You just made my day man, I'm gonna have to go play with that now!
