text file - need help

I have a file 154k in length that I just want to scan-and-swipe.

I want to match certain criteria and then copy that in to matriced int, float, or string variables
and then churn out a database version.

I looked over Andy Harris's book on PocketC and there was nothing that looked like it would work.
Breaking a 154k file into 34 4k memos looked tedious to do over and over again.

I tried to set a seek at position 1 and then go from there to position from each address in sequential order
from my text file that I converted and Palm-loaded into PDF format.

Does anyone have a better way to parse a load of repetitive information?

Thanks.

I found this PDF file on the web hosted here at OrbWorks, PocketC Help Central,
that applies explicitly to WindowsCE units. Does PocketC under Palm OS 4 support
any of these extra file handling values? Thanks.

If you want to do the processing (text file to .pdb database) on the desktop, you can use OrbPDB to do the convert. Convert the file to a CSV file first, and follow the instructions included with OrbPDB.
