Standalone PocketC apps

Discuss PocketC for Palm OS (including Desktop Edition)

Just 2 questions about the standalone apps created with PocketC desktop.

Are these apps faster then apps created on Palm?

This standalone prc-file is probably some combination of source and runtime.
Is it not possible to develop real standalone apps with PocketC and PRC Tools?
(Jump was a small program creating standalone apps. Why should it not work with PocketC?)

I believe the desktop apps are very slightly faster, not noticable but the docs mentioned this.
PocketC requires the runtime either embedded or not.

Jump converted its code to assembly i believe which is why it can run native apps, PocketC doesnt do this.

Thanks. And what about the way to use so many native libs as possible and use PocketC only for the core functions. It would be faster and the code could be probably easier transfered to GCC to make standalone apps.
Maybe with some converting tool. I agree with jstadolnik in the discussion about "DatebookDB".
