Has anybody seen problems with the runtime on a Handspring Platinum? I don't have one to test with. However, I have a (potential) user who keeps getting error messages running my software on a Platinum. My code has been unchanged for 6 months, and I haven't heard any bug reports from anyone.

Any ideas???

It might be due to the new processor in the visor platinum. I hope mine is under the tree this morning.

Always keep them guessing....

I remember the problem when I run old pascal for DOS on pentium machine. It will causing "divide overflow" (or something) because the old pascal is too fast on pentium 300MHz.

Is it the same problem on 16MHz EZ to the new 32MHz VZ processor on Visor?

Mine is Visor prism, and I have no problem running PocketC and PToolboxlib.

Best regards, Dian Suharto.

No, I've had Visor users report good things back to me. (Haven't heard from a Prism user.) But, the one Platinum user is not a happy camper. Can't figure it out. (It would be handy if I had a testbed.) :-)

I would suggest getting a Handspring emulator rom. Here is the link:

I would suggest getting a Handspring debug rom. {snip!}

Yeah, I suppose I should put that "developer registration" to work, eh? But, then again,
I've seen things that don't work in the emulator that DO work on the real device, and vice versa. Who knows...... Thanks!
