How to get ascii value of a character?

Discuss PocketC for Palm OS (including Desktop Edition)

I've been looking through the docs and the web boards and I can't find this info. I need the ascii value of a given character or substring, also known as the ordinal value in some languages. Any clues?

TIA!
Scott.

Scott, "text(20,20,(int)(char)"k");" will print a '107', which is the ascii value of character 'k'...
See http://www.kis-ware.com/fonts.htm for a program to help with this... Tom
