Because nobody will make it through the other post, here is a short one.

How can I get a simple program to constantly monitor for hardware keystrokes?

Event handler maybe? PM KEY???

I think that getkey(); is only run once and not continuously when encountered .

What does everybody think of having a weekly, biweekly, binightly or nightly scheduled chat session where there could be an interactive code development effort. We, could all get together and develop interesting apps in a short time with everybodies input. If anybody can improve on this idea, do so. Maybe it could be a code mailing list. It's far fetched but I think it would be neat.

P.S. Don't take everything I post seriously, I'm just trying a little humor. I'm not trying to pick fights.

for processing keystrokes entered try this:

<pre id=code><font face=courier size=2 id=code>
process_key(j);//some generic function to process the keystroke
//if you want to process other events as well, put them here
}</font id=code></pre id=code>
