I can't find anything on eventmsg(). It won't compile on my device (v2), but does seem to on my desktop. Does anyone have any info on it?

Also does anyone have experience of running the demo "serial" in the examples folder?

eventmsg() doesn't work on the V2.

the help is here:
http://pocketc.net/doc/default.asp?libr ... od_id=1377

it's written "return none", but it's not true. it returns the same thing than event(1); does.

Does anyone know whether the msg[] array returned by eventmsg() contains the same contents as the MSG struct returned by the Windows GetMessage API call? I'm interested in whether any translation is done on the contents (apart from extracting the contents of the POINT structure).

Is msg[0] the Window handle, or is it the PocketC GUI ID?

Is msg[1] the Windows message number, or is it the PocketC event code?

Finally, do the point entries in msg[5] and msg[6] suffer from the same signed truncation error that the values from penx() and peny() suffer? (Negative offsets become large positive numbers)

(Maybe I should just go and test this myself, but if someone has done this already then it would be a help).

Thanks...

The last time i checked this values, only 0-3 where working others had odd results.
the msg[0] gives a pocketC control id (use gethwnd(int id) to have the window handle)
msg[1] gives the Windows message number
msg[5] and msg[6] have both old results

I believe that in the example "serial" in the examples folder msg[4] is used?

Kevin

Anybody know who wrote the example or does anyone have experience of running it?
