Any way to stop "beaming" with PocketC?

It's possible to disable the IR receive using the SetSysPref function in the PToolboxLib, however there is no way to disable IR transmits in the PalmOS.

I may be a little off track but I thought you could alter beaming prefs with a shortcut. I forget the shortcut right now but I've read about it somewhere.....

I read that on some handhelds writing the shortcut symbol, then .i activated beam receive

...more specifically, i wrote an application, i don't want its users to be able to beam the application to anyone else? Is that possible?

There are other good solutions for that problem. When people register your program, make them send you their Palm/Hotsync user name. Based on this name you create a registration code the user has to enter. Your app stores this code in a database. At each start, see if username and code match, and bail out (or start in Demo mode) if not. That's how most programs do it.
