PDE 6.6 doesn't compile

Discuss PocketC for Palm OS (including Desktop Edition)

Hi all,

my new PDE 6.6.0 doesn't compile any *.pc files.
It starts the pde.exe from Perl Development Kit 6.0
instead. Can I point the PDE to the right pde.exe?
The other pde.exe is not in the path.

Greetings Lutz

Do you mean that double clicking a .pc file launches the wrong application? The file association that PocketC sets up fully specifies the path to the correct PDE.exe, so this should not happen. You can verify this by examining file type in Windows Explorer.

If the problem is that you are running PDE.exe from the command-line, an application can register it's name such that it doesn't have to be in the path (find out if this is the problem by checking for a registry key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\pde.exe). Specify the full path to get around this.
