Does somebody have sample code for native a add-in that takes advantage of the new system event handlers?

In the what's new section of help it says:
"Native add-ins can intercept system events "
It would be good if there was some documentation on that, ie what are the limitations, pitfalls, maybe a simple sample add-in that takes advantage of extra hard keys on some palm models etc.

A sample event handler was added to the SampleAddIn. See hook_contrast in the source file. If you still have questions, let me know.

Thanks Jeremy!
I need a bit more handholding though since I am a total beginner wrt to C++ and Metroworks, maybe somebody else can help who is a bit less busy then Jeremy.

Here is what i want to do:
- For an application that runs on Treo's only I want to get an event on a form when Treo's jogwheel is clicked.
- So from my OrbForm app's perspective I am thinking I can set a hookjogwheel = true at the app level (like hookhard is set today)
- I know that the jogwheel click generates a character that has the value 0x1608 ( referred to as hsChrJogScan, since it is Hadnspring specific). What I want is have a custom event available to Orbforms something like a onjogwheel().

How does that map to the sample add-in you provided (I assume I can modify stuff on the hookcontrast code you provided there) , ie what are the basic steps to provide the above to my app via add-in?
