A PocketC native palm library offering native forms and assorted utilities

Postby tthkbw on Sat Dec 07, 2002 2:52 pm

I use PtoolboxLib 7.50 and resource forms.

Is there any way to leftalign the text in my resource buttons? I have tried the "leftanchor" pilrc option on the buttons but it doesn't seem to do anything.

LeftAnchor means that if the button's frame should change, that the left side of the button will be anchored in place, while the right side will shrink or expand accordingly. By default, the right side is achored. This feature is used most frequently on selectbox buttons whose frames change size on the fly.

The palmOS does not have facilities for aligning text within buttons. The text will always be centered.

If however your buttons don't have a frame, try playing with the Fctl AUTOSIZE command. If autosize is enabled, the text (and frame if any) will align to the "anchor" side.
