Hi, I'm new to pocket c Programming but not C Programming...can you use Files Input/output commands... like for instance in BASIC language you do like:

Open "\yourfile.dat" for input as #1

is there something similar for pocketC? thanks

I assume you are using the Palm version of PocketC?

The Palm OS does not really know files. The closest you get are "databases", which can be accessed through PocketC as well.

The memo pad uses a database. If you are looking for something close to a simple ASCII text file, then read through the documentation on memo functions in PocketC - they can read and write memos in the memo database.
